I have been introduced to longboarding 2 weeks ago and my ankles are feeling more wear and tear than the board just because I probly spend 4-6 hours a day on it. I love it, it's probly one of the best investments I've ever made (besides cs, maybe better) and I already want a new board. The best part about it is it beat's walking, is almost as fast as biking and you don't have to lock up your longboard as it's just small enough to fit wherever you bring it.

No longboarding is NOT skateboarding, aka shortboarding. If you dont know what longboarding is by definition it's essentially a surfboard, with wheels.

Right now looking into a loaded dervish cause I do alot of carving and pumping here and there.

Post up your opinions on longboarding or if you have a board what you like/dislike about it!

I actually learned on a longboard... Of course I mean a surfboard. Skaters are to dumb to figure out their own terminology.

Btw you don't have to be a skater to longboard, i'm all for the cruising and such but i'm the furthest thing from a skater lols. Plus I snowboard and it's relatively the same except a bit slower and less fluffy, haha.

Now there is something I have always wanted to try, but never had a snowboard to try it with. I am a pretty good, or used to be, skier... I just havent dusted off the Atomics in about 10yrs.

does longboard just ride or can it do tricks too

you can do a bust all your teeth trick. all you have to do is ride down a rail.

You can do a few tricks, nothing like a skateboard but the odd ollie, kickflip, a few others.

Thats a good video on freestyling, should tell you what you want to know. Most of it is cruising tricks though.
